Company history
Eager Beaver Nursery, Inc. was founded in 1978 by William Mayer under the strong belief that honesty, integrity, and exceptional customer service should be a top priority. The Mayer Family and Eager Beaver Nursery, Inc. have consistently given back to the community with their time and resources. From serving on the board of trustees at the Philomath Scout Lodge to donating resources to the City of Philomath Police Station, City Hall, Fire Department, and Library, they pride themselves on participating in a variety of community projects and events and also supporting local suppliers. Eager Beaver is a family-owned and operated business. Keeping up with the crews and keeping Eager Beaver on-track as a whole, takes the work of the Mother-Daughter office team:

Gail serves as Office Manager and supervises day-to-day business, continuing education, licensing requirements, endless paperwork, and produces the monthly newsletter. She is typically the one you will be speaking to on the phone, and you will find her very helpful.

Becky facilitates the payroll & personnel duties, keeps the files in order, handles insurance and safety, and tackles some of the bookkeeping. She has been working in the EBN office for the past 10 years.

Diesel

Dixie Two year old hound dog, Dixie, serves as our security staff. When she's not on duty, she enjoys a nap in the sun.

Diesel, the cat, serves single-handedly as our Welcoming Ambassador. Diesel is 7 years old and lives at the EBN office. Diesel was added to the staff to serve as Head Mouser. He quickly determined this was NOT the position for him, and transferred to the main office—where he faithfully greets visitors and maintains a serious sleep schedule. Diesel
